1. Some time ago mentioned that he thought I
should have a "Q" clearance and said that he would set it up. To
date I have heard nothin further regarding this clearance and today
I checked with said that his records showed 25X1A9a
that this had never been entered arri. that he would take steps to
enter it' immediately.
2. As was involved in briefing of
the NSC, it was necessary to cancel the IAD meeting which had been
called for 2:00 o'clock today.
3. CIA has accepted responsibility for administrative support
to the William Jackson Committee. Personnel office has made a file
search of suitable secretaries for this Committee and has selected
seven from throughout the Agency. Three of these come from DDA, three
one - f OSI - from DD/I. I checked with
who was most cooperative and said that he would make 25X1A9a
available for this duty._ This will involve the last week of
each ` rch, April and May. She will be on her normal duties
with the balance of the time. We received a second request
