Minutes of the 143rd meeting were read by the Chairman and approved
as read.
1. GENERAL
J.T.S. memorandum regarding Outline Guide for quickies will be used
as a check list. Corrections have been approved in a J.T.S. meeting and
a change will be issued.

Captain Macomb continued his visits to libraries and is compiling a
bibliography for JANIS 72.
On behalf of the JISPB, the Chairman expressed its appreciation to
Cdr. Clinton and wished him a "bon voyage."
2. EDITORIAL
Cdr. Clinton reported that Chapters I & IV2 JANIS 150 have been
completed. The study is now editorially complete.
On JANIS 153, Chapter XIV has been submitted; Chapter XI will be
submitted today; some material for Chapters II & III not yet in; Chapter
V not yet received, but should be ready in about four days; one map each
is missing on Chapter VI, VII, VIII; Chapter VII received today; only
part of Chapter X has been received.
Editors have been alerted and instructed to complete JANIS 79 not
later than 4 July; Chapter V not yet received but it is in good shape.

3. PRODUCT Lt. Van Rees reported that Mr. MacCabe is checking with the
compositors on processing JANIS 79 and will notify the Board of his
findings.

Capt. McCaskill reported that Route Strips for JANIS 75 have been
received, but not yet placed for reproduction.
5. PLANNING
Lt. Quam reported that the final memorandum on JANIS 70 should be
distributed today.
