The minutes of the 140th meeting were ready by the Chairman
and approved as read.
1. GENERAL.
The Chairman informed the conferees that EXOS Navy has made arrangements
to fold and assemble the JANIS supplements. Navy personnel have been
assigned and the work will be done in the Arlington warehouse.
Captain McCaskill reported that route strip maps for JANIS 75 have
not, as yet, been received at JISPB.
2. EDITORIAL.
Cdr. Clinton reported that:(1) JANIS 150-Gazetteer & Map Appraisal
will be ready this week. One 7-color map is still missing. (2) JAMS
153 chapters that have been received are being worked. (3) Supplements
for JANIS 85-2, 84--1, 81-1 are all finished. (4) Contributors have
submitted supplements for JANIS 73-1 and 7611; the material for JANIS
73-1 should go out as a booklet.
3. PRODUCTION.
Lt. Van Rees suggested that all outstanding chapters of JANIS 150
should be completed as soon as possible in order to eliminate possible
errors and to clear storage space. Some chapters of JANIS 153 have been
edited.
4. PLANNING.
Lt. Quam reported that (1) the blue-line map and instructions for
J.AN13 72 have been disseminated, (2) the announcement memorandum for
JANIS 70 is ready for distribution; (3) the bibliography for JANIS 72
(not including a G-2 list) is in process and will be distributed. The
G-2 contribution will be published as a supplement to the bibliography.
