Minutes of the 119th meeting were read by the Chairman and approved
as amended.
1. GE_ NER L
Decision on separate pouch for Chapter XII, JANIS 73, held in abeyance.
A separate pouch for an individual chapter tends to complicate the study
because a plans pouch is issued as Volume 2. Chapter XII, JANIS 73, will
be received as is" for review and further study.
The matter of anchorages will be taken up at the next meeting.
2. PRODUCTION
Garber is meeting transportation difficulties in making deliveries by
truck due to snow storms. Lt. Van Rees suggested armed guard-express service
with an immediate tracer. This procedure for delivery was approved.
Bulk on 9 chapters of JANIS 85 will be delivered on or about 2 Jan. 45,

on JANIS
and IV.
Seven (7) chapters including bulk on JANIS 76 complete; advance copies of
Chapter XI received. Two chapters will go to printer today.

but the information is well prepared.
4. PLANK
Lt. Quam submitted base map for JANIS 75. It will be reduced and
published for binding on the North side, with place names changed to read
horizontally North and South instead of East and West for this study only.
Good source for base map for JANIS 150 not yet found. Dutch map is
satisfactory if names are transliterated. Lt. Quaig notified contributors
of the switch in priorities.
Lt. Quam informed the Board of a new 0SS office called Map Intelligence.
The Section is set up to provide map evaluations similar to that of AMS.
Capt. McCaskill was detailed to investigate and report on the possible use
of this service.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned; next meeting
will be at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, 2 January 1945.
