1. A letter from Mr. Segal, Executive Vice President of Edward
Stern and Company, dated 24 April, pertaining to the production of
JANIS was read and noted.
2. The Secretary exhibited to the Board a letter from the
Secretary of JTS in connection with certain classified material JTS
had turned over to JISPB for either destruction or retention in
JISPB files.
3. Comdr. Bailey brought up the subject of the H. 0. charts
to be contained in JANIS 102. The Hydrographio office is printing
and folding these maps, which will not be ready for delivery until
8 May. The Board decided to distributeJANIS 102 (which contains
pouch) as per original schedule. The H. 0. charts are to be sent
to Stern to be inserted in envelopes and distributed later.
4. Mr. McCabe of the Carder Printing Company discussed the
facilities of his plant and the Board preliminarily discussed with
him the preparation of JANIS 155, which Garber Printing Company has
contracted to print for JISPB.
