Subject: Instructions for Contributors to JANIS #87.
1. The area covered includes Taiwan (Formosa) and Boko
(Pescadores) Islands.
2. The base map for this area on scale 1:350,000 is being
compiled by Geographic Branch, 11ID. All mans showing the whole area will be
prepared as overlays to this map,
3. Maps showing aportion of the area may be drawn to a scale
and projection deemed suitable by the ontributing agency, but must be adapted to
reduction to JANIS page proportions, A x 11 inches.
4. For spelling of names the base main will be the authority.
For places not on base map indicate location on Army Map Service 1:250,000 sheet.
All names not on base map will be encircled on third copy of manuscript.
5. Enclosure #2 is Outline Guide for JANIS #87.
6. Enclosure #3 is copy of instructions for preparation of JANIS
7. The deadline for submission of all copy is l June 1044, but
all chapters should be submitted as soon as possible. Individual chapters will
be published as received.
