Subject: Security Check on the Board on Geographical Names.
Enclosure-. Memo to JSC from JISPB, 2 July 1943.
1. The director of the Board on Geographical Names has been
contacted relative to the matter of security of military informa-
tion. It was determined that the reorganization of the Board is
not yet complete and all scheduled security measures have not yet
been placed in effect.
2. It is the opinion of Joint Security Control that any proj-
ect submitted to the Board on Geographical Names by the Joint In-
telligence Study Publishing Board-will be adequately safeguarded
provided that, for the time being, submissions be handled through
Dr. Meredith F. Burrill, the Director.
