Provides information on the size of the population, its
composition in terms of ethnic groups, age groups, and. sex,
and. its geographic distribution, including the urban-rural
breakdown (both as defined by the subject country and. according
to standard. U.S. terms). Calls attention to notable demographic
factors a.nd.briefly notes their probable causes and, import.
Discusses population growth rates and., where information is
available, the factors deemed. likely to affect the growth rates
and. other population trends in the foreseeable future.
Tabulates, for each of the preceding 10 years if possible,
births, deaths, excess of births over deaths, growth rates and.
infant mortality rates. (Where reasonably trustworthy
information is not available for the indicated. years but is
for others, or some combination of both, then substitutes
.the most meaningful set of years. If data is deficient,
