that vill include some 19 regional and special sUbject maps aee attached
list), The objective is to provide a conveniently-bound set of uniformly
designed maps that will present evaluated information for ready refer
ence use by the growing number of individuals interested In China. We
propose to issue the lio as an Unclaeeified publication in order to
permit maximum appropriate dieseminatien and use within both gcvernmental
and non-governmental centers of China research.

ments comparisone of pre-Communist conditions with the present, relative
importance of major individual installations and/or commoditiees and
principal unclacsified sources of information. Simple etatietieal
tables to illustrate regional, sectoral, or chrenological comparisone my
be used.
