Approved For Releassee 2002/01/2f' 19-01 156A000 00080017-2 ANNE= C Compositions of Deletions 1. The composition of the respective delegations should be arranged as follows: (limit number to ten) a. Officials of the sponsoring organizations. b. Cartographers -- those engaged in practical cartography with emphasis on topographic mapping. c. Photogrammetrists -- those engaged in practical applica- tions of photogrammetry, including geodetic applications. d. Topographic Surveyors -- practical with emphasis on field activities. e. Instrument Specialist -- knowledge of surveying and photograamuetric instrumentation. f. Personnel in mapping fields engaged in research and development or in management of mapping organizations. g. Persons in teaching at the university level. 2. The above is representative of those aspects of surveying, mapping and photogrammetry that will receive emphasis in the ACSM-ASP meetings and in subsequent tours. It represents those aspects of Soviet mapping activity in which U SIB agencies have the greatest interest. Persons should be selected for the U.S. delegation on the basis of multiple factors: a. Interest. b. Knowledge of subject matter -- detail is essen4ial. c. Russian language ability. d. Experience in topographic mapping, especially military. 25X1 C f. Capacity and position to carry on contacts and exchanges. A list of recommended personnel should be drawn up and used in consulta- tion with ACSM and ASP.
