1. In accordance with para. 2, Agenda Item No. 3 of the
reference, DD/P concurrence was requested and obtained for procure-
ment of the e i t
10 RT-52 Transistorized Transmitters
2. We have been informally advised that the Army has recently
asked for bids on 1,000 KE-8's, 1,000 CO/B-8's, 1,000 CO-3's and
2,000 CA-3's. Colonel Meyer of the Material Division, Special
Forces has stated that production waits should start becoming avail-
able within 90 days after the contract is let. Arty requirements for
coders, keyers or cartridges, beyond those considered in the refer-
ence, should be compiled at this time and ordered to take advantage
of the favorable prices developing from Army procurement.
