1. Introduction
the BP-12 is intended for we as a standard play-back device for
aedit* speed base Installation. Prior to the meeting, a m~mox+endu,a
(08 M-63-105) had been circulated to all Board members which outlined
BP-12 cost data ($1,150.00 each) and intended distribution of these re-
producers. 06 requested Board approval to procure 50 units.
During discussion it was brought out that although the BP-12 has
not been fully evaluated as yet, Board approval for groat of these
units is being sought at this time so that a procurement contract can be
let as soon as the evaluation has been a pleted and the units found
acceptable. In this connection, it was pointed out that there is an
urgent need for these units at this time for various medium speed base in-
stallBtions. It was also brought out that when the medium speed base set-
up which is now being installed in the various areas was adopted., it was
intended that reproducers of this type be used so that the problem now,
in essences is to determine whether the number which 06 reeommend[a is
satisfactory. r _1th course of further discussion, it saran determined
that procurement of `1l4 uipment should be handled on a priority basis.
