Since 21 March 1961 significant.information,on foreign press services
has been included in the Broadcast Infor~mation~Sectionts weekly publication
"Station and Program Notes" under Part 4 - Foreign Press Servicesr This
information includes notes on new press services, exchange agreements data
on new transmissions and facilities etc. Detailed schedule revisions and
press alterations wills however continue to be released with this publica-
lion.
U.S$S6R6 -- SUMMER SCHEDULE; TESTS FOR HAVANA
The summer schedule of TASS transmissions for abroad was introduced on
11 April. A revised schedule will be released with Revision No.> 5.. (BBC)
Radioteletype test transmissions have been observed since late March
from Moscow directed to Havana during the period 14:00-20:00 on 18790 kcs,

VIETNAM (CLANDESTINE) -- LIBERATION PRESS AGENCY
A transmission from the pro-Com~nu.nist "LIBERATION PRESS AGENCY" was
first heard on 19 April at 11:10 on 8980 kcs. This service, .described as
the "official organ and information agency of the National Front for the
Liberation of South Vietnam" reportedly began earlier this year. The
transmission, given in Vietnamese worse (Ali 25 wpm); ontained press material
for "RTU." Further details will be reported as they become availab].eo (0)
UNITED ARAB REPUBLIC -- MENA CASTS
According to a service message from MENA in Cairo on 10 Aprils press
transmissions in Arabic are sQheduled for 07:00-08:00 and 10:00-11:00 on
10030 kcs; 14:00-16:00 on 6680 kcs; and on 3470 kcs at 19:00-20:00. Morse
transmissions in Arabic are at 05:30-06:30 on 9130 kcs and on 8125 kcs at
16:30-17:30. (M)
