The meeting, which took place in the Sooietyes headquarters, TM
called to order at 7316 P.M.
On motion of Mr, Nyicki, seccwded by kir o Pennington, the minutes
of the maeting'on April 8, 1954 were approved:as read.

1. Mr. Lundahl made the Miming announeements.
A. Mr, T. P. Pendleton, Honorary Member of ASP, passed away
on May 28th. Proper condolences and an obituary notice
are being prepared.
B. The printers' strike at Banta Publishing Co., which
threatened during April, was averted,
C. Mr. L, Dickerson will represent ASP at American Society
of Landscape Architects Meeting in New York on June 28.
1954.
The name of the jack Amann Company has been changed to
Jack Ammalin Photogremmetric &flamers. Inc.. effective.
January 1, 1954.
E. The Kern Co. of Aarau, Switzerland has terminated its
franchise with Paul Reinhart Co.. Inc. and has incorporated
in New York as Korn Instruments, Inc. Mr. Florian Nitrate
is executive vice..president.
F. Mr. Amrom Katz is now associated with Rand Carp. on Jay 20,
1954:
OL Upon receipt of an invoice, the Secretary was instructed
to pay dues to the International Society in the amount of
$658.00.
EL Lundahl addressed the OntS Section of ASP an April 23rd
in ColuMbus and the Association of American Geographers'
Meeting on May 19th in Washington, D. C.

1, The aceouttve Committee has voted to submit a rerlswivaination
on, the assets of the Society of the District of Columbia Govern.
ment. Personal Property Taxes are now based on evaluation of
approximately $900.00 02% or $16.00. This amount was submitted
to the Tam Reviewing Board for final approval. All other taxes
for the Society have been successfully deferred,
2. Manual Sales have averaged about ten per week. The total number
of copies sold to date is 44096. One hundred thirty...five-copies
were sold during April and May.

many of the, economies he has effected in the purchase of supplies
and equipment for use in the headquarters office.
Local Sections -
Ao Nr, Quinn asked to be relieved of the responsibility
of Chairmanship of the Local Section Committee. Kr.
? Lundahl appointed 14r. Chester Kowalczyk new chairman
of the committee.
B. A letter was read from Mr. Preston of the Ohio Section.
Announcing the National Aircraft Show at Nyton,' Ohio
on September 4.54. /twee thought inadvisable for
the Society. officially, to take any Oart in the event.
2. Reporting Lfiei_t_1:7::::rman of the Serd..Annual Meeting Committee.
Mr. Irish, reported that there will be three speoiel
sessions for can Society of Photogrametry on Thursday
and Friday. September 16th and 17th. There are thirteen exhibit
booths in the block allotted to ASP, and one-half Of the proceeds
from the rentals of these booths will be paid to the Society
for its participation in the Congress.

2. reported by letter on the progress of the plans for the
forthcoming consecutive meeting of the American Society of
Photograrametry 666 American Congress on Surveying and Mapping
which will be held March 7.12, 1955 in Washington. 1:16- C. Each
Society will have its own separate sessions, the ASP having
the first half of the week. A complete organization of commit-
tees and sub.coramittees has been effected. Mr. Lundahl
suggested that $200.00 be entrusted to the Deputy for Finance of
the Consecutive Meeting Committee for preliminary exoen.ses. So
moved by Ni'. Loneil and seconded by Dr. Belcher, the motion
carried. For budgetary planning purposes the Registration fee
will be assumed to be $3.00 and exhibit space will be assumed
to be $3.00 Per square foot. with a miniratun booth fee of $250.00.
Mr. Harold Staseen, Director of FOA, has. been suggested as a
possible keynote speaker for this meeting.
N. Lundahl indicated that Dr. R. N. Cobra11 has been busy with
P61. matters and has answered a number of letters on the subject
of photo interpretation, either addressed to him or referred to
him for reply. These replies have been most favorably received.
Dr. Colwell plans to be at the August 12 Directors Meeting and
will present a forma1 report of the Photo Interpretation Camdttee
at that tine.

1. A letter was received from State Senator Luther E. Gibson,
Chairman,of the California Senate Interim Committee on Licensing
Business and Professions, requesting assistance and recommenda-
tions on data to be included in a state statute. The letter was
referred to the professional Status Committee for formal action
but it was agreed that in view of the short deadline involved
that Mr. Lundahl might forward his own preliminary thinking and
unofficial response to the questions raised.
2. On motion of Dr. Belcher0 seconded byrir. Kowalczyk, the appli-
cation for sustaining membership of the Department of Pdblic
Works of Puerto Rico was accepted..
3. tir. teleil moved that the application for sustaining medbership
of Brown. Blauvelt, and McFarland. Inc., of Woodbury, New Jemmy
be accepted. Seconded by Mr. Ncericki, the motion carried.
4. After discussion. Mr. Pennington moved that the salary of T, W.
Norcross be increased, effective with the next pay period, to
$3,150 per annum. Seconded by kis. Linck the motion carried.
It was the feeling of the Board that the government standards .
on within-grade raises be followed in the .ftiture by the Society.
However. the Board realized that it could not commit future
Boards' actions.

Dr. Belcher mewed that the salary of the Seeretary.Treasurer.
Fir. Palmer. be increased .1200.00 per arum effective with
the next pay period June 15. 19,54. Seconded by Kr. McNeil,
the motion carried.
6. Mr. Park moved that regular employees of the American Society
of Phabogrammetry who have served six months be entitled to
one week (equivalent) vacation with pay, and those who have
served cale year or more receive tc?ro weeks (equivalent)
vacation with pay. nation seconded by 11r. 1Cowalcsyk and
? carried.
7. }Ir. Z. Sewell moved that l'Ar. Palmer be ampowvred to proceed
with the procurement of an air conditioning unit for the
headquarters office on the basis described. Seconded by
ix. McNeil the notion carried.
8. It was the concensus of opinion of the Hoard that the Society's
booth at the Interim:U.0nel Instrument !looting could be manned
very easily by Washington members of the Society during the
Wo days of the meeting especially assigned to ASP,1.0.,
September 16 and 17. However. contacts will be mae with the
Metropolitan Nat York chapter and the Acoro Service Corporation
in Philadelphia to determine whether they can man the booth
during the rasaining eight days of the meeting. Meeting
