Bulgaria-Yugoslavia Sign Protocol
Bulgarian Foreign Trade Minister Ivan Nedev and Yugoslav
Trade Secretary Muhamed Hadzic concluded their talks in Sofia
on 7 September, with the signing ofa protocol calling for
greater economic cooperation between the two states (see
Intelligencer, 7 Sept). The talks were held in a "spirit
of frankness and mutual understanding," which in traditional
communist jargon signifies that certain issues remain unresolved.
One of these issues probably is Macedonia, a long-standing
problem that has clouded relations between the two countrihs_
