Approved For Ree 2006/03/17 TftfH71 B00864AU00020099-9 71 25X1 #138 EASTERN EUROPEAN INTELLIGENCER OCI #0939/72 24 July 1972 Emigres Claim Second Strike In Yugoslavia The "Croatian Socialist Guerrilla Army" (KSA) claims to have struck again in Yugoslavia -- the second time in three weeks. In a press release published in West Germany on 21 July, the KSA alleges that its forces on 17 and 18 July successfully raided a military installation in the ex- treme northwestern tip of Bosnia-Hercegovina, killing 20 soldiers and destroying seven helicopters. There has been no confirmation of the attack by the Yugoslavs. Nor has there been any hint in rumor-oriented Belgrade that such an incident took place. Prince Sihanouk Extends Visit To Yugoslavia Cambodian Prince Sihanouk's five day (14-19 July) visit to Yugoslavia was extended until the 23rd, as Si- hanouk and Tito continued their private talks. The two leaders apparently were conferring on the situation in Cambodia and the upcoming nonaligned foreign ministers conference, slated to be held in Georgetown, Guyana from 8 to 11 August. In a communique published Approved For Release 2006/03/1 1;T~79B00864A001200020099-9 Approved For yesterday, the two sides strongly reaffirmed their com- mitment to nonalignment, and stressed their support for the Georgetown meeting -- an indication that Belgrade will back a move to seat a Sihanouk delegation. Continuing on the theme of nonalignment, the communique deplores the widening gap between the developed and lesser developed na- tions -- a formulation which Moscow has in the past taken exception to because it implies not only that the Soviet Union is a developed nation, but also is not doing enough to help lesser developed countries. The Yugoslavs also reaffirmed their support for Si- hanouk as the legitimate ruler of Cambodia. The two sides called for an end to the American military presence in south- 25X1 east Asia and expressed pleasure with the good state of re- lations between the Yugoslav and Royal Cambodian governments. bhu-KET Approved For Release 2006/03/17 : CIA-RDP79B00864AO01200020099-9
