As we discussed, I can find nothing really wrong with the
data produced, but I can also find no real evidence of any
investigative thought. In other words, there has been no
imagination used.
My conclusion from reading the report and looking at the
figures is that W.W.M. is performing most of the work single
handed. The inevitable result is slow delivery and underexpend-
ing. There is no evidence that any of the suggestions made by
either of us have been followed so far. In particular; it was
suggested that special emphasis be put on-avoiding the human
factors problem, that.they analyze the 501 transmittance point,
that they look at other density differences,. etc.. You also
asked that an estimate be made of the point at which circles and,
triangles become indistinguishable.
The results presented are good, -from a technician point
of view, but are not what I would call much of an investigation.
Perhaps the .extension can improve the 'analysis of available
data, but I suggest the work statement be fairly specific.
