C. 20024 9 SEP 1968 Study Program to Develop Material Suitari for Use in a Rear Projection Screen, Contract (a) Corning Glass Works Electronic Research Laboratory Letter, Dated 30 July 1968 (b) Specification No. DB-1001, Dated 31 August 1966 The Corning letter, reference (a), was delivered directly to the Contracting Officer's Technical Representative during his visit to your Raleigh, North Carolina plant on 30 July 1968. Reference (b), titled "Contractual Documentation to be Supplied by Contractors" was an attachment to the subject contract. In reference (a) , Manager, Electro-Optics Department, noted that a lenticular screen configuration offering good performance and a solution to some manufacturing difficulties had been conceived. He presented a favorable summary of anticipated benefits to be gained by developing such a screen and proposed that the major effort of the current contract be devoted to the achieve- ment of a lenticular screen design. A revised work schedule was attached. The proposed change in emphasis and the revised work schedule have been reviewed by our technical staff and no serious objections wore voiced.
