Military Posture
1. The document prepared for Congressman
Lipscomb last July has been revised as he re-
quested.
2. In discussing this revised version with the
Congressman you may wish to reiterate:
a. The document is unclassified in the
sense that the discussion can be generally
attributed to sources in the public domain.
Of course., our knowledge from classified
sources makes it possible for us to use some
public sources and reject others. This fact
underscores the importance we place on there
being no attribution of this to the Agency.
b. The paper has not been coordinated
except in the most informal sense and cannot
be considered a Community statement.
