MEMORANDUM FOR CHAIRMAN, COMIREX
SUBJECT: Pan Photo Coverage from Mission 1112 for Mapping and Charting
Mission 1112 contributed 90% cloud free panoramic photo covarage for
1:250,000 mapping resulting in 65 map sheets released for production.
Map sheets are "released" when the accumulated coverage available exceeds
the 80% level. Of the 65 sheets released, 37 were inside the Sino Soviet
area (primarily China) resulting from 12,000 square statute miles net,
and 28 map sheets were outside the Sino Soviet area (primarily Africa)
resulting from 29,000 square statute miles net. Total net coverage
worldwide was 41,000 square statute miles.
