1964 LL 25X1A 25X1A 25X1A 25X1A 25X1A MEMORANDUM FOR: Acting Director of Central Intelligence SUBJECT: The DOD/JRC Reconnaissance Schedule for February 1964 1. Attached is the DOD/JRC reconnaissance schedule for February. This has been reviewed within the Agency, and it is recommended that it be given your approval. 2BLSSiT7'? ApprovedrGdr (ease 2002/05/20 : CIA-RDP79BQ09O02200040028-5 2. In the January schedule the missions of primary interest to the Agency were the three missions 25X1A scheduled to be flown north of Siberia. These were all flown with one producing excellent information and the other two reasonably helpful data. None is scheduled for February, but the Agency is planning with SAC to schedule similar missions at a later date, perhaps some in the Far East and against other emitters. The Agency is again particularly interested in the I I missions I (Tab F) and (Tab G) 25X1A each using two aircraft in the Baltic, as these should have a higher chance of intercepting SA-3 radiations than single flights. In general, the use of joint missions in all areas would seem justified on the basis of more complete coverage and the probability of greater Soviet reaction. Additional joint missions in this category are the mission 9106-2 (Tab A), which is coordinated missions) KTab C), mission 9101 (Tab B), which is coordinated with 25X1A I Imissions (Tab D). All these are in the Barents/ Norwegian Seas area 25X1A 6 7 .ADD/ OSA SC-03518-64/A 8-10 SA(COMOR)/DDS&T Copy` of 10 Attachment (w/ orig only) SC-03518-64) Copy 1 DCI 2 DDCI 3 DDI 4 DDI(I 5 DDS ALBERT D.
