2. The CIA agreed to the addition of 200 plus targets in Vietnam to the
Priority List.

READOUT REQUIREMENTS - 1050
3. The Committee approved the Chairman's draft memorandum to the
Chairman, EXSUBCOM stating the ICRS readout requirements for Mission 1050.
4. Chairman informed the members that he had received a request from
25X1A the ARGO Committee vial for KH-4 coverage of the
25X1 I which presently has a record snow cover.
recommended that 2 minimum bursts be expended in this area on Mission 1050 in
order to provide a sample coverage of the area. The CIA and DIA members
stated that the Committee should be provided more justification before a decision
is made. The Air Force member stated that it was his opinion that the requirement

could be satisfied by manned aircraft which are flying training missions in the
area. stated that he would attempt to get additional justification.
25X1A 5. nformed the members that the Chairman, COMIREX had
instructed IURLS to review the need for establishing a requirement paper for
reconnaissance coverage in the Middle East. Chairman requested that members
have their input available by the end of March in order that a final paper could be
approved in early April. The CIA member stated that it was his opinion the paper
should be limited to a realistic requirement for satellite coverage only since it
was highly unlikely that higher authorities would approve the use of manned vehicles.
The Chairman stated that ICRS should consider the possiblity of establishing an
area and target coverage requirement similar to the one for the Communist countries.
GUIDANCE FOR SATELLITE SCHEDULING
6. Navy member submitted a memorandum containing input to an ICRS
paper on guidance for satellite scheduling. The Chairman requested the other
members provide their input as soon as possible.
IMPACT AREAS
7. Chairman requested members review the GMAIC Paper
3 March 1969) and determine if the targets referenced therein are still valid
collection requirements, inasmuch as GMAIC does not require readout on the
referenced targets. He reported this would be scheduled as an agenda item at
the next meeting.
PRELIMINARY FILM PLANNING - 1050
25X1A 8. provided a handout showing for planning purposes
a preliminary film allotment or Mission 1050. It depicted the anticipated effort
against holidays, the Middle East, North Korea, MC&G and several other areas.
It is attached as Tab A.

MC&G REQUIREMENT
9. The DIA member displayed a map of Southeast Asia showing an area
the Chairman, MC&G would like programmed for 1050. NRO was requested to
check and see if this area was programmed.

were approved. One recommended change was held in a pending state. 25X1A
Committee recommended that NPIC be requested to provide coordinates to
seconds in newly reported targets in the OAK/OAK Supplements.
12. The Committee also approved the addition of 71 MC&G targets for
coverage on a non-interference basis with intelligence targets.
The Chairman reported the area coverage of CUBA for the
current 56 day period stood at 66%. He noted there had been 3 missions since
the standdown had been lifted.
