MEMORANDUM FOR: Committee on Overhead Reconnaissance
SUBJECT: COMOR Priorities for J Missions--
Mapping and Charting
1. The COMOR Photo Working Group has reviewed a change
in priorities for mapping and charting purposes in J missions and finds
no conflict with other intelligence coverage priorities. The changes
recommended are shown below:
a. The area now shown as second priority in
the Yemen-Aden region in the southwestern part of the
Arabian 'Penin.sula should be changed to first priority,
with special emphasis on the western portion of this area.
This change in priority is justified to support stereo
triangulation efforts of the Directorate of Military Survey,
United Kingdom, currently in progress,
b. The areas identified for obtaining KH-4
photography to assist in control point identification for the
DAFF data reduction program should be changed from first
priority to second priority (see MCGWG-M-10 of 17 January
1966 and MCGWG-M-11 of 4 February 1966). This action
relates to the timing of making changes in input data for
reduction of D.AFF data.

will be a matter of record for NRO as a change to present mapping and
