China in the very near futures He reported that the weather was supposed to be very good for a short period of time after the passage of a tropical storm, He suggested that the ICRS should provide the operators with a list of "lodestone" targets from the present priorities list as well as any bonus targets that anyone might have, 3t was noted that this list would have to be provided to the operator by COB 24 Julyo 25X1A 5, provided a. listing of those targets that had been added to the CC o e as ce at each member review these and make recommenda- tions as to any changes they may haven 25X1A 6o briefed the members on the area coverage obtained in ~~ Cuba for the past ay periodo He noted that coverage was being maintained consistantly above 90% and that the spacing of the missions had been very good, DI.A stated that they had directed SAC to photograph the port facilities at Havana on the 24 July mission because of a ship that is presently docked thereo They commented that they did not seek ICRS approval since the mission was already scheduled to go over the Havana area, 25X1 25X1 D 0 25X1A 25X1 NRO 25X1A 25X1A 25X1A 25X1 A Approved For Relea ~~01709A003300060002-9 1104 PROGRAMM_ING_ $, CIA member presented a list of targets and areas that he recommended for use in cutting camera programs for Mission 1104, He noted that all the ICBM complexes and a large number of the MR/IRBM complexes were included, He stated that it was important that we have the capability to cover as many of the offensive missile complexes as possible in order to assist in the preparation of a SNIE that is being prepared in support of arms limitation negotiations, stated. that since there appeared to be a high number of intelligence requirem or this mission that the ICRS may want to recommend to COMIREX that a smaller percentage of film be allotted for MC&G requirements. He noted that this could be discussed at the next meeting. Attached is the list of targets and areas approved for programming Mission ll04). TARGET. UPDATE 9. The weekly target update sheet was distributed to the members with a request that the Staff.be notified of any changes or nonconcurrances by COB 25 July. He expressed the Chairman's appreciation f.or their past efforts and contributions which have been considerable in making the ICRS a more effective 25X1Av,,orking comrnitteeo added that in his long association with the PWG/ICRS he has observed its progression from a more or less informal get together to its present highly effective operation.
