SUBJECT: Revised Target File for U?2 Reconnaissance
of China
1, Attached. are files of active targets and lists of all targets for use
by Operations and NPIC in the program of Um2 reconnaissance over China.
Revisions in the files reflect actions taken by the Photo Working Group
on 26 May 1964,
2, Files of active targets distributed as attachment III and target
lists distributed as attachment IV to CWG-D-22/4 on 11 May 1964 are
now out of date and should be destroyed. Files of inactive targets
distributed as attachment V to CWG?D-22/4 on 11 May 1964 should be
retained:

1. Attachment II contains a list of targets entered and
updated on 26 May 1964.
2. Attachment III contains target descriptions and
requirements of all active targets, arranged in COMOR number
order. The active target file distributed as attachment III
to CWG-D-22/4 on 11 May 1964, is now out of date and should be
destroyed.
3. Attachment IV, distribued only to NPIC and Operations,
contains lists of all targets in China arranged by COMOR number,
by coordinates, by WAC-BE number, and alphabetically by country.
Target lists distributed on 11 May 196+ as attachment IV to
CWG-D-221+ should be destroyed.
1+. Inactive targets,"distributed as attachment V to CWG-D-2211-
on 11 May 196)4, should be retained.
