SUBJECT: Improvement of Coordination between COMIREX
Subcommittees and Departmental Elements
Supporting Imagery Collection and Exploitation
1. Pursuant to COMIREX-D-32 2 2 and in view of recent problems
with forms, systems, and administrative procedures involving the nomina-
tion recording and coordinating imagery collection and exploitation
targets, I solicit your support in taking some positive steps to improve
the situation.
2. I would like to initiate the practice within our COMIREX sub-
committee staff elements of a member of the ICRS Staff attending the
EXSUBCOM regular weekly meeting and a member of the EXSUBCOM attend the
ICRS meeting. The purpose of this liaison is twofold. First, I believe
that it will facilitate meaningful dialogue and good personal working
relations between our staff members who are involved in the administration
of collection and exploitation requirements. Second, these staff members
should serve to keep the two chairmen advised of action which could influ-
ence decision within their respective areas of responsibility.
3. In addition, I would like to initiate periodic, informal get-
to-gethers of people playing key roles in the support and administration
o,.the national collection and exploitation program. The following people
and organizations would be involved.
