SUBJECT COINS Status Report for IRAC Meeting, Monday, 23 July,73
1. Attached is the redrafted report which I prepared for contingent
use at subject meeting. The redraft contains the corrections you sug-
gested; otherwise it follows the previous version that I sent you and you
said was OK.
25X1 2. I have just been told byl assistant
on IRAC matters, who attended the meeting, that the COINS topic was brought
u and received only very brief discussion. Mr. Colby, Chairman, asked
25X1 Ifor a status re ort and the latter made .a brief statement -- con-
25X1 tents unknown to me. Iis to make a more detailed report at the.
next IRAC meeting, scheduled in the Oct.-Nov. time frame. It is interesting
that Mr. Bridgewater, OMB, whose letter dtd 14 July 73 to the DCI caused
this item to be placed on the IRAC agenda, was totally silent.
3. The attached report that I prepared was not disseminated to IRAC
members. However, it has been disseminated within this staff, including
