General Taylor:
I talked to Joe Becker of Becker and Hayes with
regard
to
the present status of COSATI and what is proposed
for
the
future. He told me that COSATI has been placed
under
Mel
Day who heads the office of Science Information
Service
of the National Science Foundation. Joe referred to
the
new director of NSF as Guy Stephens. He said that
his the chairman of a group which is reviewing
the COSATI charter. He rattled off the names'of some
members of this group, most of whom are from industry.
They expect a final report from this group in April.
