REFERENCE: DIA Memo S-73, 198/DC-70 of 20 June 1974
"Improving DoD Indications and Warning
Management"
The recommendation in the referenced memo that Director
of Central Intelligence Directive (DCID) No. 1/6 be revised
to insure prompt receipt by you of initial information on
the occurrence of all foreign nuclear explosions is acceptable.
Accordingly, I have directed the Joint Atomic Energy Intelli-
gence Committee to effect the necessary changes and to submit
the revised DCID to USIB for early consideration.
