This is for your information only.
Robert Gates, GS-14, 0[IDI, has been working for
Denis Cliff on the NSC Staff since July 1974 and will
continue in this assignment until July 1977. We are
informed by the Office of Personnel that a letter to
Gen. Scowcroft to inform him of Gates' assignment
will not be necessary under Executive Order 11905.
Scowcroft is already aware of Gates' detail, having
reviewed his last fitness report.
