I am taking this opportunity/on the occasion of
the approaching retirement of Mr. Cedric W. Kroll, the
Treasury Department Actuary, to frxpress my appreciation
on behalf of the Agency for his splendid cooperation and
assistance in providing actuarial advice and guidance in
connection with the CIA Retirement System and preparation
of required periodic valuations.
This service has been pr/ovided since the inception
of the CIA Retirement System/in response to an Agency
request to which there was Tacious agreement by the then
Secretary of the Treasury, Mr. Henry H. Fowler, by letter
dated 25 June 1965. /
Mr. Kroll's assistan qe through the years has been
characterized by complete responsiveness to our needs
for guidance and assistance whenever requested. I would
ask that he be informed rf our sincere appreciation of
the contribution he has 'Made to the administration of our
retirement fund. We wish him every happiness in his
retirement.
