IAISON Called Paul Daly, FBI Congressional
Liaison, to ,e zim t is . we would be testifying before the Senate Select
Committee on Intelligence tomorrow on the~case and our people
would very much to have a Bureau representative present at this
session. I said. I had discussed this with Bill Miller, Staff Director,
Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, who had agreed. Daly said
he would have to clear this through the Department of Justice channels
but he was reasonably confident there would be no problem and unless
he calls xne back, we could expect an FBI representative to be present.
31.1 IAISON Called Colonel Steve Harrick,
DOD/Legislative Affairs, regarding participation in a tour
for Senate Select Committee on Intelligence staff members at a sensitive
installation. During the course of the evening, I also discussed. this matter
with Bill IvUl.ler, Staff Director of the Select Committee. Miller was quite
upset that was being excluded from this tour and said he hoped
this situ'Aloii
would. not be repeated.
I also discussed this matter with the Director and with Dr. Cook,
DOD, who said he would look into it. .
3 BRIEFING Accompanied the Director
