1. LIAISON Met with Earl Eisenhower,
V Senate Select Committee on Intelligence staff, and introduced him to
Director of the Office of Communications. took
Eisenhower to an all day tourl I checked wi at the
end of the day and he said there were no follow-up questions. Eisenhower
said Senator Barry Goldwater (R. , Ariz.) would be particularly interested
to see because of the technical equipment present and that
Eisenhower would speak to the Senator about this.

2. LIAISON Called Bill Miller, Staff
Director, Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, and made final
arrangements for the Director's briefing of the Committee on 21 July covering
several subjects.
3. ILIA.ISON Met with Don Sanders, Senate
Select Committee on Intelligence staff, who is reviewing Agency documents
involvind I showed him the Inspector General certification that
material in a 1976 survey report on the East Asia Division did not add
anything to the DDO and DDS&T documents he had already reviewed on
Sanders said he did not think the certification would be satisfactory
and asked for a copy to show to Senator Robert Morgan (D. , N. C. ). Sanders
indicated that the agreement reached regarding the IG material was for a
summary of the report and that this certification fell far short of a summary.
I later passed this information to John Waller, IG, and George Cary, STAT
Legislative Counsel, and Mr. Cary subsequently called Sanders.
