MEMORANDUM FOR: Chairman Scientific Intelligence Committee
SUBJECT a Reassessment of Soviet Anti-missile Missile
Program
1. GMAT C is planning to reconsider the present estimate of
the Soviet anti-missile missile (AMM) program. The reassessment
will commence in late September with a completion date of early
October. The paper provided to USIB/ONE is expected to be
relatively short.
20 As a portion of this assessment GMAIC desires an
evaluation by your Committee of the early warning, long-range
acquisittion9 etc. capabilities of the Soviets which are pertinent to
the AMM problem by 30 September 1960
