1. In accordance with your desire, there is forwarded herewith
for your review one copy of the page proofs, complete with graphics,
of the above-cited chapter. Similar copies have been forwarded this
date to Mr. Sherman Kent, ONE, and Mr. Ray S. Cline, OCI.
2. A preliminary review of this page proof has been made
within OBI. Essential changes resulting from this review have been
indicated on the page proof.
3. A detailed review is currently being conducted within OIR,
ACSI, ONI, AFOIN, and OBI. The results of this review will be
considered by the NIS Committee at a meeting to be held, tentatively,
on 5 March 1957. Receipt of your comments and those of Mr. Kent
and Mr. Cline prior to that date would be appreciated. The latter
have been requested to forward their comments through you.
