Excluding some $15.7 billion worth of arms provided under the Military Assistance Service Funded (MASF) program; MASF was designed to support non-US forces engaged in combat in Indochina and was provided directly from the US military budget. South Vietnam began receiving MASF funds in March 1966 and Laos and Thailand in 1967. South Korea, which had a large force in South Vietnam, received some MASF support.
