Sterling J. Cottrell has been appointed as Senior Deputy
Assistant Secretary for Inter-American Affairs.
"as. Cottrell ~Ta also has been designated by the Secretary to
serve as Coordinator of Cuban Affairs. In this position, he will
serve as the focal point for the development., coordination,
recommendation and execution of 11S policies with respect to Cuba.
Other government agencies will designate appropriate officers to
work i,,ith the Coordinator in the discharge of his responsibilities.
"Mr. Robert Hurwitch., Special Assistant to the Assistant Secretary
for Inter-American Affairs,, has been designated Deputy Coordinator."

policy guidance re Cuba and at same time insure coordinated execution
