Situation in the Dominican

The Soviet government has ingtructed its UN
representative to seek an urgent security council meet-
ing to examine US intervention in the Dominican Republic,
according to the USSR's TASS news service. The Soviets
have also sharply criticized the statement President
Johnson made last evening and alleged that he simply
repeated false: charges of "red infiltration" in the Do-
minican Republic. The USSR claimed that the US propa-
ganda machine would keep playing up "this falsity" as
a "protest to justify the American armed intervention."
