The India-Pakistan Situation

failed to leave after having been given an ultimatum to do so,
the Indians began shooting to drive them out,, Press reports
indicate that firing in the Wagah sector is continuing,

3. Pakistan warned that military action would be taken by
12:30 P.M. EDT today to extricate this force if India did not

4. Karachi Radio also broadcast

arges of Indian violations
of the cease-fire, specifically in the Barki area southeast of
Lahore and in Kashmir. In addition, there were charges that
Indian troops after the cease-fire had seized more Pakistani
territory,
5. The above incidents and the earlier report of fighting 25X1
in the Wagah sector are indicative of the problems that will con-
ttemtin to keep the cease-fire,
