INTELLIGENCE MEMORANDUM
The India-Pakistan Situation
(Report #102 - As of 6:00,A.M. EDT)
1. India and Pakistan continue to charge each
other with cease-fire violations. All recent alleged
violations have been relatively minor.
2. Yesterday, India protested to Pakistan against
the "shocking outrages" committed against the Indian
high commission in Karachi, and demanded an apology.
and full compensation. Pakistan rejected the protest
as totally untrue.
3. India is sending Deputy Foreign Minister Singh
to Kuala Lumpur to thank. Malaysia for its "unstinted
support." Pakistan broke relations with Malaysia
charging. Kuala Lumpur with supporting India. The
Malaysians have denied taking sides, but now charge
Pakistan with conspiring with Indonesia.
