This document contains information affecting the national security of the United States within the meaning of

Subcommittee of Sena t o ign Relations Committee
3 February 1967
1. Thee Director appeared before the Disarmament Subcommittee
of Senate Foroign Relations +n- February at 1:30 p. in. The briefing
ran until about 4:30 p. in. Therev" a technical sweep of the room and
monitoring during the hearing. A transcript was taken and special
arrangements were made so that the n? and transcript were in the
technical custody of Agency security offices at all times. Sen*tors

future, covering both weapons and nuclear materials. In addition, he
asked the sine of the gaseous diffusion plant. It was indicated this would
be supplied. Senator Gore indicated he would like to have the Director
come back to discuss in more detail the topic of "Nuclear Proliferation.
