Dear STATINTL
Although I assume you will be traveling on a tax exempt fare basis when you come to
Minneapolis to participate in our industrial conference, I am enclosing a tax ex -
emption certificate for your convenience.
The university is limited to reimbursing for the basic fare only and cannot reim-
burse for taxes imposed on plane and train fare.
If you plan on using slide or film projectors, will you let me know the type of
equipment you would like to have at your earliest convenience, so that I may be
sure you will not be disappointed. If it is inmaterial to you whether to use an
overhead projector or a 2 by 2 slide projector, may I suggest that you use the
slide projector. We will be glad to supply a competent operator for either
projector, but I believe a 2 by 2 slide projector will work more effectively in the
room in which you will be lecturing.
As Col. Elliot told you we are all looking forward to having you with us and deeply
appreciate your acceptance.
