This report updates the previous basic reporting on six of the major
electric power plants in Hopeh Province,northern China. It also includes
initial basic reports on two additional plants, the Cheng-te and Chun-liang-
cheng Thermal Power Plants.
Cheng-te Thermal Power Plant Shuang-tou-shan was partially complete in
and it appeared complete in Chun-liang-cheng

Cheng-te Thermal Power Plant Shuang-tou-shan is located about 8 nm west-
southwest of Cheng-te, China. It is rail and road served.
On photography in he plant consisted of a boilerhouse, a
generator hall, a large s ac< as control house, a switching yard, a spray pond,
an induced-draft cooling unit, a coal storage area, a coal processing and
handling facility, and a probable cooling tower under construction. The boiler-
house probably contains two boilers. The position of the stack in relation
to the large boilerhouse indicates that the plant could be expanded (see

Chun-liang-cheng Thermal Power Plant is located approximately 6 nm south-
east of Tien-ching. It is road and rail served.
On photography in the plant consisted of a boilerhouse, a
generator hall, a stack, a switching yard, a coal handling/processing facility,
a coal storage area, a traveling crane, and two partially buried probable POL
storage tanks. The boilerhouse probably contains four boilers (see Figure 3).
