1. Unidentified SS inboard of fitting-out barge (LOA approx 250')*.
The ways previously used for the construction of submarines now
appear to be empty and no further evidence of submarine construction
activity is discernible at this time. A probable SS was observed on
these ways I land is possibly the same unit that is now
inboard of the fitting-out barge. F I
Probable RIGA or KIANGNAN Class DE (LOA approx 300').
Only two of the three main batteries norrially seen on these classes of
DE can be identified. Other distinguishing features associated in the
specific identification of these vessels cannot be discerned.
3. Unidentified possible combatant (LOA approx 220').
Identification is based on the relative long length/narrow width ratio
associated with combatant-type vessels.
NOTE: Other activities on the building ways and in the graving docks
cannot be determined from this poor quality photography.
