South Africa - Malagasy Republic: A Malagasy
trade mission visited South Africa in mid-May to
study possibilities for increased Malagasy exports
to South Africa and to attract South African busi-
nessmen and tourists to Madagascar. In addition,
the visit may have provided opportunities to discuss
diplomatic relations. The Malagasy Republic and
South Africa concluded an unpublicized trade and
civil air agreement in April 1967.
