Somalia: The Somalis apparently have decided
to release the US-owned oil exploration ship and
its crew. Foreign Secretar Arteh has told the
hat the Midnight Sun
would be re leased but he i not indicate when
this will take place. Arteh did not reveal if any
conditions will have to be met before the ship can
leave. The Somali Government has not directly in-
formed US officials in Mogadiscio of its intentions,
but may do so today when the US ambassador is sched-
uled to meet with Arteh.
