POLISH AMPHIBIOUS TRAINING EXERCISE AT
UTSKA NAVAL TRAINING CENTER (S)
(S/WNINTEL) A Polish amphibious training exercise with major elements of a sea
landing regiment, elements of an engineer battalion, and four Polnocny medium landin
ships (LSMs) was observed at Utska Naval Training Center, Poland, on imagery of 25X1
(Figure 1, not all illustrated). 25X1
(S/WNINTEL) Two companies of the sea landing regiment, two PT-76 tanks, and an
engineer battalion were on the beach. Two additional companies of the sea landing regi-
ment and the remainder of the PT-76 tank company were 500 meters behind the beach.
Major items of equipment included at least 22 OT-62 armored personnel carriers, 13
probable PT-76 tanks, nine PTS amphibious transporters, four K-61 amphibious trans-
porters, and numerous cargo and van trucks. Four Polnocny LSMs were dispersed offshore.
