Equipment:

the Ich'6n Farm Machine Operation Station had 34 tractors,
20 trucks, various farm machines, two lathes and one drilling machine.
Details on the tractors were as follows:
a. Ch'olltma-28 Tractors 26 in all): Manufactured by the Klyang Tractor
Factory in Kangso-gun N 38-55, E 125-32) (YD 1910), P'yongan-namdo; 28
h.p. two-cylinder, high-speed diesel engine; Maximum haulage?i7 h.p. Per-
day work quota (plowing) was 2.4 hectares and diesel comsumption per
hestare 20kg. Of the total of 26 tractors, 14 were assigned to the statinn

b. UTOS-45 Tractors (5): Rumanian make, 45 H.P. four-cylinder, high-speed
_diesel engine; Maximum haulage 28 h.p. Per-day work quota 6.4 hectares
of farm land. Diesel consumption per hectare 17kg.

cylinder, high-speed diesel engine with hot bulbs. Maximum haulage 26
h.p. Per-day work quota 5 hectares of farm land. Per-hectar diesel
comsumption 17kg.

Workability & Maintenance of Tractors:
2.The state-fixed annualioperation rate of a tractor was 85 percent, or about
300 days. However, the actual annual operation rate of a tractor of the
station was about 50 percent, or about 180_days a year, largely due to the
weather condition, the shortage of fuel, mechanical failures due to lack of
parts or excessive use of tractors, unpreparedness of working sites, etc.
