THROUGH Deputy Director for Support
SUBJECT Security Clearances for the Senior Seminar
1. This memorandum contains a recommendation for your
approval in paragraph 4.
2. The goals of the Senior Seminar include broadening
of the participating officers through exposure to a wide range
of problems and activities _.volved in the US intelligence effort..
To achieve this goal, it is essential that they be cleared during
the Seminar for access to certain compartmented security clear-
ances.
3. In my judgment these: clearances should include:
a. SI Category 3, including ^

4.' Recommend that you approve the issuance of the security
clearances identified in paragraph 3 above to the 20 officers
selected to attend and the officers who will conduct the Senior
Seminar.
