SUBJECT Office of Security Liaison with other
United States Government Agencies
1. This memorandum is for your information and is
in response to a telephone call from your office on
10 November 1976. In accordance with the request the
following listing of Office of Security relationships
with other Government agencies and the authority for
such contacts is submitted.
2a. The Information Systems Security Group provides
Agency support to the computer security efforts of the
Intelligence Community.

b. The Special Security Center provides guidance
to other Federal agencies on compartmented security
matter: and maintains the Special Clearance system for
the Intelligence Community. At the present time the
Center is in special contact with the Department of
Commerce relative to their proposal that a memorandum
of understanding be executed regarding the security of
foreign intelligence materials provided by the Agency
to Commerce.

c. The Clearance Division conducts liaison with other
Federal agencies (Attachment A) on cover and investigative
matters and to confirm the clearance status of thtr personnel

d. The Safety Branch of the Physical Security
Division maintains contact with the Department of Labor
relative to all aspects of the Agency's safety and health
programs and to the compilation of data regarding injury/
illness claims of Agency employees processed under the
various compensation programs.

e. The Safety Branch of the Physical Security
Division maintains contact with the Department of Commerce,
Federal Fire Council and reports to the Council, on an
annual basis, relative to Agency fire losses. STATINTL

f. The Headquarters Security Branch and the Domestic
Security Branch, Physical Security Division maintains
contact with the Federal Protective Service, GSA, on all
matters concerning the assignment and use of their Officers
in Agency facilities. Contact is also maintained with the
Federal Protective Service, GSA, relative to thefts in
Agency buildings.

security information to accredited representatives of
other Federal agencies (Attachment B).

Division, maintains liaison with the Fairbanks Highway
Research Facility, Bureau of Public Roads on matters of
common concern due to the proximity of installations.

Secur'.Lty Committee of the Intelligence Community Staff and
on its subcommittees and working groups. This provides a
basis for regular contact on a wide range of security
issues.

with the Federal Bureau of Investigation relative to the
security of Agency personnel, personnel security investi-
gations and the security of domestic installations.

with the Department of State and the Secret Service to
report, any information received relative to threats against
